Tourists can enjoy the view of the cherry blossoms and the grand Osaka castle while having a picnic. Additionally, visitors can take a tour inside the Osaka castle for a fee, giving them the opportunity to explore the castle’s interior. There are plenty of great spots for picnics, where people can relax in the breeze while taking in the beautiful view.

Enjoy Barbecue and Hanami at Osaka Castle Park Together!
There are also many people who have barbecues in the park’s designated barbecue areas. These areas are only open during the spring, and there is a fee to use them. To barbecue, you must reserve a spot online three days before your planned visit. Without a reservation, you will not be allowed to barbecue.
For those who find barbecuing to be too much of a hassle, I recommend buying lunch at the Mornomiya Q’s mall supermarket, which is located quite close to the park and is very convenient. They also sell multi-colored dumplings, which are perfect for Hanami, so you can buy them and enjoy them while looking at the cherry blossoms.

Experience Osaka Castle in a Unique Way: Gozabune Boat Tour
If you want to see Osaka Castle from a really cool angle, you should take a ride on the Gozabune boat! It’s a special kind of boat that goes around the castle’s inner moat for about 20 minutes. You’ll get to see the castle’s tall tower from the water, and you’ll also see the super-high walls up close. They say these walls are the highest in Japan! The view of the castle from the boat is so beautiful and fancy.
To get a ticket for the boat ride, you have to go to the “Ticket Office” on the north side of the castle’s main tower. It’s near a bridge called “Gokuraku Bridge”. Remember, you can only buy tickets on the day you want to go on the boat ride! Don’t miss this chance to see one of the coolest places in Osaka in a whole new way!
